What I’m learning about God, Alzheimer’s, and myself (shared post)

I ended my 40+ years career at Standard Publishing with more than 14 years as publisher and editor of Christian Standard. Now, six years into my retirement, I was pleased to respond to the current editor’s request for me to write about our experiences.

We posed for our 50th wedding anniversary June 22.

The piece was included in the July-August issue in a series of “Faith Stories” and concludes this way:

. . . it’s a journey, an unchosen journey. I can’t imagine taking it without the assurance that “the God of all comfort” (2 Corinthians 1:3) notices and cares. And so I regularly ask him to teach me what I can learn along this new path, and I’m waiting to see what I become as I take each new, tenuous step.

Instead of a new post this week, I’m linking to that piece at the Christian Standard website. Click here to read it all.
